Well, hello there! I figured I would get in a quick little blog before I started writing for the day :)
I am well into the second half of Try to Fight it, my second novel, and going strong. This novel is Julianna's best friend Shayla's story. I already miss Jules and Paulo from Don't Fight it, the first one, so I know I will be ready for more edits and revisions once this story is wrapped up.
For revisions, I am actually considering writing more chapters from Paulo's point of view and inserting his part of the story alongside Jules's.
Can I get a quick poll from you guys on that?

Do you prefer to read books written from just one character's point of view, or do you like when the POV skips between the main character and her love interest? Let me know in a comment either way!
Here is the playlist so far for TTFI, which is sooo different from the playlist for DFI! Shay loves her some hard rock music, while Jules was more into mellow stuff.
As for life outside of writing, it's busy and great! Wedding season is crazy. I have worked 19 weddings since January, with #20 coming up on Friday. There are about that many scheduled for the rest of the season, so I'll just keep being a crazy busy hair and makeup artist.
My half marathon is less than two weeks away! I can't believe I have been training for over 10 weeks already. It's amazing how having a goal will motivate me to be consistent about my running. This training plan I have been mountain biking like crazy, which I think is helping me to keep injury-free and build different muscles. Like a butt. I've got one and it's not going away as I continue to lose weight. Oh yeah, about that! I know I had mentioned in one of my last few posts that I had lost 5lbs writing my first novel. Well, add on another 3-4 for a total of 8-9lbs lost {it fluctuates daily}! It's definitely the increased mileage for my runs, peppering in bike rides, and eating better over all. I definitely have my days where I end up eating terribly, but I am trying to stay healthy.
As for my no sugar thing I had going awhile back, I did introduce sugar back into my life, but I honestly feel like now I don't have a dependency on it, or need to keep eating once I have had a bite of sugary goodness. It's nice to not be ruled by my mid-afternoon sugar craving that insisted I needed something sweet.
The weather here in NorCal is HOT! As a California girl, I am used to mild and wonderful temperatures pretty much all year long {and I pay for my nice weather in ridiculously high rent and cost of living!!}. When the temps are 90F and above for weeks on end, I get a little cranky. Thank goodness the weird humidity we had a week ago went away. I seriously feel for all of you who live in a humid area. That ish is no bueno.
I hope this little update satiates your craving to know what's going on in my life! I love sharing all sorts of details, so let me know if you have any questions! I also post pictures regularly on Instagram, so follow me @hairbyadrian to stay in the loop!
