What is a Liebster Blog Award?
"The Liebster Award is for blogs with under 200 followers and the rules of the award is that the nominee must link back to whoever nominated them, write 11 random facts about themselves, answer 11 questions from the award giver, and then nominate another 11 bloggers and make up 11 questions for them to answer. It's a great way for new and undiscovered bloggers to meet new people, get more followers and find some blogs that they want to follow."
Here are Michelle's questions for me:
1. Describe yourself in only 5 words?
Hmm, I would say bubbly, independent, determined, loyal, fun
2. How would your friends describe you?
Probably the same way I did! They would probably add in "great listener" too.
3. What is your favourite season, Summer, Spring, Autumn or Winter?
Usually I would say Autumn, but this year I am totally digging Spring, so it's a toss up! Not a fan of Winter or Summer as this temperate climate gal doesn't like extremes in weather.
4. What would you take with you to a deserted island?
I'm thinking this island has shelter, food and water supplies, so we're going with what essentials I would need. Chapstick, a Kindle Fire with a solar battery and unlimited Internet access, Sadie and Billy. The cats can stay at home and get loved on by some friends and family.
5. What is your favourite line from a movie?

6. What country is on your travel destination wish list?
Costa Rica, Hawaii, the UK, pretty much anywhere in Europe :)7. What is your dream job?
I'm living it, baby! Being a hairstylist and makeup artist is wonderful, and let's me live my passion every day!
8. Where do you see yourself 3 years from now?
Most likely not in California! I'll be 29 for the 3rd time, and hopefully I will own a home and have a thriving business.9. Why did you start your blog?
I've been blogging in some capacity since high school {remember Xanga and LiveJournal? Oh and before that it was just a paper journal haha} and have always enjoyed putting my thoughts about my current life down to view later. I started Happy Girls when I found myself writing too much about my personal life on my Hair by Adrian Wordpress blog when it was supposed to be business related. I needed a personal outlet to separate from my business stuff, but abandoned the business blog when I discovered the community and fun of blogger.
10. Where did the name of your blog come from?
From the Audrey Hepburn quote!
11. What has surprised you the most about blogging?
How so many people have made their blog into a business and are profiting from blogging! I have never blogged for any sort of recognition or for anyone other than myself, so it has taken me awhile to understand how this change came about. Honestly, I am a little hesitant to take my blog to that level, since I tend to blog on no certain schedule or about anything particularly important that would warrant making money. Maybe someday? I am in no means hating on this, I think it's great and wonder if it is in my own blogging future.

Adrienne of AOG Daily. Another high school friend of mine in Northern California. She blogs about beign a very busy SAHM to two adorable kids, shares her fashion must-haves, and is on a determined path back to pre-baby weight and health.
Emily from Little Ones to Love. You guessed it, another real life friend! Emily lives in Colorado with her 4 {!!} kids and always has something insightful to share about raising kids, living life, and loving God. She inspires me with every post to live more intentionally and seek the creator's path.
Jeanette from Mundy Madness! Like Emily, Jeanette was a counsellor in my high school church youth group, and someone I look up to with immense amounts of respect. Jeanette lives in Arizona and blogs about her adorable two kids, life, and God's path. She doesn't mention it much on the blog, but she is a devotee to boot camp, and I am constantly reminded that I need to get my bum in gear when I see her Facebook check ins!
Rob from Rob's Thoughtful Spot. Rob is a pastor and was the officiant at my own wedding! He is a gentle, Godly man who adores his little girl, spending time outside, and planning sermons for the Jr. High Group that he leads. I always get something out of his posts, and love reading his insights.
Jenn from Going the Distance. A sweet blog friend who lives in Washington DC area, is a speech pathologist, and blogs about life, her man, and her puppy dog. Totally OK with that!
Ari from Apples and Glue. She lives in Texas, which was my original draw to start following her, but I soon learned she is a newer runner which get's me pumped, and balancing life as a grad student on top of that!
Rachel from the Mean Girls Diaries! She is a wonderful new author, a super cool mom to an adorable little girl, and has sarcastic wit for days.
