Just thought I'd throw my two cents into the mix for What I'm Loving Wednesday ;)

Today I am loving:
The Perks of Being a Wallflower. The book was amazing, amaze-balls even, and I don't use silly words like that often. I read it in two sittings. I laughed, cried, and read parts out loud to B. I'm watching the movie as I type, and loving it too, but know the book will always be better.

That Billy let me get Chipotle for dinner on Monday night. You guys, I love this place, but B isn't the biggest fan, so we don't get to go often. It's the little things, like food compromises, that make me a happy wifey.

That I am having a new blog design created for me by the talented Kristen of Whiskey Tango Foxtrot Designs and WTF army wife! I got tired of being envious of the lovely design behind many other blogs, and knowing I couldn't create the kind of look I wanted for myself, I set out to find someone could make my blog a little more beautiful. Kristen has an eye for detail, is super sweet, and of course had great rates. Honestly, it took me awhile to answer her "what do you want?" questions, because I don't have a clear picture in mind. I did my best to bombard her with the essence of what I would like my blog to be, and am hoping for the best! I am loving the snippets I have seen so far, I can't wait to see the finished result!

This picture of Sadie and her new favorite toy, a stuffed hedgehog. I sent this photo to my friend Anne, who loves hedgehogs, and got the appropriate 'eeeeeeeeeee!!!' response ;) I love that Sadie is smiling and looks so happy for her new toy.

That I am having my mom and grandma over for lunch tomorrow. Gma had her knee replaced last month, and is back to walking now, so I figured it would be great to have them both over. I am currently checking out Pinterest for some yummy recipes, but if you have ideas, let me know!

Hey friends! I wanted to get this written up and posted before the clock strikes midnight here on the West coast {oh hai, another unintentional late night!} so it's still Wednesday here! 

What I'm loving:

I love the Big Bang Theory. It cracks me up, like lol-ing on the couch with some major 'out loud' happening. I only discovered this gem in December, but I have done my part to catch up to season 5. Just tonight I saw an episode that had me shrieking, and yes I'll even admit, snorting, and smacking the couch because I thought it was so funny. You don't have to agree, because I often laugh at stuff no one else thinks is funny, like my own jokes, but hey I'm hilarious even if no one else agrees.

Anyway, the scene that had me dying? This one. Because I love me a tiara.

Other things I am loving?

Smart Water. Because after just two liters of the electrolyte enhanced {but containing no sodium} wonder on Sunday, my bloating was completely gone. My doctors recommend I only drink Gatorade until my post-egg retrieval bloating goes away, but I literally get get sick of the stuff, heartburn and all, and crave unflavored, unsweetened, plain water! This does the trick.

Wicked on Broadway. Wicked is playing in San Francisco and I knew I couldn't let it pass me by without seeing this raved about production. So I saw it today with Billy, and it was amazing! I really liked the story, the music, the cast, and wow was that set super cool! If you get a chance, definitely see this show, it was fantastic!

My Target purchases that are sustaining me lately. Like these super comfy lounge pants that I practically live in, these off white wedge ballet flats that make me feel classy and a little taller, and some sweet black leather flats with these cute flowers on the toes that are so comfortable you would think I was wearing my black sparkle BOBs instead. Sorry no link for those flats, I looked. 

My awesome Costco find of $25 Levi's 526 slender bootcut jeans, similar to these {526 is no longer on the Levi's site}. These jeans have a mid rise with some fancy stretch fabric that seriously sucks in the tummy area, has a beautiful dark wash, great flap pockets on the tush that make the booty look fabulous, and come in short, medium, or long lengths, with the short hitting exactly right for my shorty 5'3 self. I took a risk buying jeans without trying them on, because come on, not all jeans fit the same, and when you have a little holiday weight making your "normal" size a bit untrue, it's hard to tell. Thankfully, the size I brought home slipped on and fit like a glove. If you happen to run across these at your local Costco, give them a shot!

0 What I'm loving Wednesday

Well hello there, blog loves! Joining the party for WILW and letting you in on my current faves are.

1. I'm loving that I am not completely hating that my birthday is 23 days away. That would be December 28th, if you are anything like me and have trouble with simple math.
*I have a theory that I have replaced all of my math skills with useless information and pop culture references, but I was never really into numbers to begin with. I digress.*
I usually stop talking about my birthday once December hits, then get more and more reclusive and anti-social as it draws nearer. By the time my birthday rolls around, I am in an all out funk and want nothing to do with getting older, which is exactly what birthdays celebrate. Anyone else feel me on this? This year I am planning a sweet tea party at one of my favorite places, Lisa's Tea Treasures, and inviting a bunch of girlfriends to play dress up and drink tea with me. I never said I had to embrace getting older, so I am turning to the fun of my youth to celebrate another year! I have a cake picked out for my birthday, here let me show you! Isn't it perfect?!

2. I am loving little miss Sadie girl! She is such a joy, a total shadow, a snugly little thing, and the best running buddy. Her only downside it seems is her obsession with cat poop. Gross.
Here is where I would post a photo of Sadie, but it seems I have reached my max storage capacity for uploaded photos, and I don't have all my photos uploaded to a third party site right now :( Seriously Google/Blogger/Picasa, get it together. What am I supposed to do, go through my blog posts and remove all uploaded photos from the past two years to make room for new ones? Deleting folders from my Picasa account didn't have any affect on the storage issue. I do not want to buy more space, either, humph. Oops I ranted.

3. I am loving that I found a tea party dress for my birthday! And accessories! And a fascinator headband thing! Oh, and all at Kohl's of all places. Did not see that coming. Wanna see? The dress is by Speechless, black lace with a dropped waist, ribbon accent, and chiffon sort of skirt. Very 20's! The necklace is Jennifer Lopez, and looks a little like the one below, but with clear and black stones in varying lengths. Billy said it looked like bird poop when he first saw a photo of it, but recanted and said it pulled the outfit together once he saw it in person. Right. The earrings are Apt. 9, and are the same color as the necklace, so that picture should give you a better idea. Oh, and the fascinator? Totally fun! It's a headband with a little hat like thing on the side that is navy blue with black Swiss dotted netting, and has fur, feathers and gemstone adornments. Funny how I had the idea that I would end up with some sort of gold in my outfit because it's my golden birthday, but there will be none now! This week I am loving down time. It's been busy, but I've definitely had more down time than on the go time, and I needed it. 

I'm loving sleeping in. I hate going to bed and getting up early. I fight sleep, even though I love it. My mom says I've done this my whole life, and I've never been a morning person. So while I've stayed up far too late recently, I've been sleeping later also :)

I'm loving taking a few days off running, and having no return scheduled. Oh, I'll run again, but it's nice to not have something to train for, or have the necessity of running ruin a perfectly good morning to sleep in next to my Billy, with a Sadie and the kitties curled up with us.

I'm loving Francesca's Collection boutique. My local mall has a store, and I came out of there last week with 4 new blouses {buy one get one 50% off FTW!!}, a gorgeous necklace, and a new gay BFF in Andrew, the boutique manager. He was so much fun I gave him my business card, and I hope he contacts me! I'm loving feeling so stylish wearing my new clothes!

I'm loving my new Aldo black boots! Yes, I finally found a pair I love!! Candlish is the model name  and they come in dark brown and Cognac also if you're interested.
